 Zendaya Joins Shrek 5 Cast as Shrek and Fiona's Daughter! 🌟🎥  Zendaya has officially joined the cast of Shrek 5, playing the role of Shrek and Fiona's daughter. The exciting announcement was made on the series’ official X page Thursday morning. 



As if that wasn't enough, Eddie Murphy is also set to reprise his iconic role as Donkey. The film is slated for release on December 23, 2026, marking the first installment since Shrek Forever After in 2010.


With Walt Dohrn and Brad Ableson co-directing, alongside producers Gina Shay and Illumination CEO Chris Meledandri, this new Shrek movie promises to be a thrilling addition to the beloved series. DreamWorks Animation first teased Shrek 5 last July, and fans have been eagerly awaiting more details ever since.


Based on William Steig’s 1990 picture book, the Shrek franchise has become one of DreamWorks' most celebrated animated series. The first four films earned over $2.9 billion worldwide and paved the way for a global live-touring show, a Broadway musical, and even an immersive tourist destination in London.


Adding Zendaya to the mix is sure to bring a fresh and exciting dynamic to the franchise. With her current projects including the third season of Euphoria, Dune: Messiah, and the next Spider-Man movie, Zendaya is undoubtedly one of the most in-demand actresses today.
