Alice Guo and Siblings' Great Escape: The Tawi-Tawi Backdoor Mystery! 🌊🚨 Alice Guo, a fugitive former mayor in the Philippines and her siblings, Shiela and Wesley, have reportedly fled the Philippines through the Tawi-Tawi backdoor, evading detection. This revelation came from National Intelligence Coordinating Agency (NICA) Director Ferlu Silvio during a Senate subcommittee hearing on justice and human rights.
When questioned by Senator Risa Hontiveros, Silvio confirmed that the Tawi-Tawi area is a likely escape route due to its proximity and the high volume of ships sailing from Sabah to Zamboanga.
Silvio detailed that around 400 to 500 ships make the journey from Sabah to Zamboanga, making it relatively easy for individuals to leave the country undetected. The probable route for Guo Hua Ping's exit is believed to be from Tawi-Tawi to Kota Kinabalu via Kuala Lumpur.
This theory was supported by Bureau of Immigration Intelligence Division chief Fortunato Manahan Jr., who agreed that the siblings most likely traveled by sea.
However, the mystery deepens as Hontiveros pointed out a "Kuala Lumpur International Airport" stamp on the dismissed Bamban mayor's passport, verified by her office through Malaysian sources. Despite this evidence, the exact details of their escape remain unclear.
Silvio also mentioned monitoring former presidential spokesperson Harry Roque's travel from Zamboanga to Tawi-Tawi, adding another layer to the intrigue.
As the investigation continues, the escape of Alice Guo and her siblings through the Tawi-Tawi backdoor raises questions about the effectiveness of border security and the challenges of tracking individuals in the southern Philippines. This unfolding story keeps the nation on edge, eager for more answers.
