Despite clear safety instructions to leave bags behind during emergencies, many ignored the rule, risking lives in the process. 




Aviation expert Geoffrey Thomas warns that such actions can slow down evacuations, potentially leading to fatal consequences. This incident mirrors a 2019 tragedy in Russia where 41 passengers died, partly due to others taking their luggage. 


Conversely, a 2024 Japan Airlines evacuation saw all 379 passengers survive, as they followed instructions and left their belongings. Safety experts urge everyone to prioritize lives over possessions during emergencies. Always listen to flight attendants—stuff can be replaced, but lives can't!
