  ICC Charges Duterte: Crimes Against Humanity Unveiled! 🌍 The International Criminal Court (ICC) has formally charged former Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte with crimes against humanity, citing at least 43 killings linked to his tenure as Davao City mayor and his nationwide war on drugs. 




During his first court appearance via video link, Duterte was informed of the charges, which include allegations of murder by the Davao Death Squad and police forces. Despite claims of poor health, the ICC confirmed Duterte is mentally fit to face the proceedings. The next hearing, set for September 23, will determine whether the charges are confirmed. 


Human rights groups estimate the death toll from Duterte's anti-drug campaign could reach as high as 30,000, far exceeding official figures. This case marks a pivotal moment in holding leaders accountable for alleged abuses of power. Will justice prevail? The world is watching.
