 Pope Francis Calls for Global Peace from Hospital Bed! 🙏🕊️ In a heartfelt plea from his hospital bed, Pope Francis, battling severe double pneumonia, called for world peace, declaring, "war appears even more absurd." The 88-year-old pontiff, who has been in the Gemelli Hospital in north-west Rome since mid-February, had his Sunday prayer distributed in writing due to his illness.



The spiritual leader of 1.4 billion Catholics worldwide specifically mentioned the war-torn regions of Ukraine, Palestine, Israel, Lebanon, Myanmar, Sudan, and Kivu in the eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo. He earnestly asked for prayers for these areas, emphasizing the urgent need for peace and reconciliation.


This marks the first time in Pope Francis' 12-year tenure that he has missed delivering Sunday prayers in St. Peter's Square for three consecutive weeks. Despite his illness, he expressed immense gratitude for the prayers and well-wishes he has received from around the world. 


His message, though brief, resonated deeply with people across the globe, underscoring the Pope's unwavering dedication to peace and unity.
