The competition also highlights the beauty of everyday life, with Hajime Hirano’s portrait of a street vendor in Akihabara, Japan, and Khairizal Maris’s vibrant shot of football fans celebrating in Bandung, Indonesia. Each winning image tells a unique story, from the tranquility of Ng Guang Ze’s black-and-white landscape in Singapore to the intimate connection captured in Yeintze Boutamba’s Encounter from Gabon.
The Open Photographer of the Year will be announced on April 16, 2025, at the London Awards Ceremony, where the winner will receive a $5,000 cash prize and Sony digital imaging equipment.
